To grasp YYF’s innovation, we need to start with basic polyurethane chemistry. Conventional PU leather is born from the reaction between two key ingredients: polyols and isocyanates. In standard PU, the polyol component is 100% petroleum-derived — making it the primary source of embedded fossil carbon and lifecycle emissions.
